Departing Paris was mildly hilarious with our "leader" taking about 4 wrong turns in a row. We decided that we'd quite like to get to lunch before 6pm so fired up a few sat nav apps (one for the driver and one for the passenger to act as navigator and to check the routing is correct) and found our own way out of Paris.
That morning was the first time i'd seen a 650s "Le Mans Edition" and I have to say i'm loving the classic wheels and roof scoop, they really bring something to the car. I cannot wait to see a 675LT with a roof scoop (they are coming due to much lobbying from deposit holders).
BMW invited me down to Goodwood Festival of Speed to check out their latest offerings, a ride up the hill in the X4M and a look round the M8 Comp.
Last week I was near Autofarm's new facility so figured it was time to get the Sharkwerks exhaust back on. Whilst we were doing this I realised I have never seen a video on how to take the bumper off on a 997.2. The bumper is already off but I run through the process and then have a walk around of my backdate to see what's going on with that. I still absolutely love the shape and drive of the 997, the 991 and 992 don't really keep the involvement this gen has. Check out the video below.
My first chance to drive the 2019 Lotus Exige 410 on a road and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately it was pretty wet but despite that I still had a wicked time and it probably made the car feel even more nuts.
I had a chance recently to drive the Lotus Elise Cup 250 on the roads around Bicester in the UK. It was my first experience of the Elise and it was the perfect environment (if a little wet) to try out this lightweight sports car.
Last week I took the Radical SR3 to Spa Francorchamps for a test day with a bunch of other race cars. We had LMP3, GT3, GT4 and some Ferrari Challenge cars. It's always fun mobbing these in the corners even thought they have much more pace on the straights.
